Hey Scott:  these guys have a lot more to do on the 737, give them a break.

Yet the 777 is replacing the 747 on many routes, and I don't think that it will be all that long before the long distance work will be done by the 380 and the next versions of the 777.  The A340 has ceased production and I doubt whether airbus will have any other four engine version than the 380.  So the somewhat old style 777 is having a makeover that includes winglets but above all lighter ZFW with more passengers.  The 737 900 ER I have heard, and I may be incorrect is, or is about to be a transatlantic approved aircraft.

Then of course the A350 and the B787 will carve their own sections out of the medium and long haul market.  Think of the add-ons to come.
