Seeing as Boeing is not changing the cockpit it would be nice if iFly made a MAX addition with the cool winglets as a paid addition. With Colin's paints it would be nice to see in FS9.

Hi,
As per our policy, we do not give information about products in development until we are ready. This is our policy because people speculate and try to read into words an meanings. We said we would like to do the MAX, we initially planned it for 2020 but the world got turned upside down. We live in a dynamic fluid world, things change and we have to adapt accordingly. When we are ready to talk about it we will. We recently released the iFly Jets Advanced Series - The 737NG for P3D v5 https://www.flight1.com/products.asp?vid=flt1sf&pid=ifly37adv, next will be Expansion pack for the same product line. http://ifly.flight1.net/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=20296&title=expansion-pack-for-advanced-series-the-737ng So who know what will be next..........

Hi,
Thank you for the update and new project. May I kindly ask, will 737 MAX be only for P3D v5? Or it will be available for P3D v4 as well? Thank you.

I am in the semi advanced state of Building my 737 cockpit and I was going to go with the 800 series but on looking at the cockpit and how advanced the MAX is I will go with the MAX as the Glass cockpit is the easiest to install. here is an excellent website about the MAX enjoy. I hope that Prepar3D and FSUIPC will be able to handle the new MAX. |

Kind regards

Will the 737 Max be a standalone product or an expansion pack for the "iFly Jets Advanced Series - The 737NG"?

There is a very good description about the operation of the MCAS system in this video. it is a bit long but explains why a brick can fly. I wouldn't like to be in a MAX if an Electro Magnetic Pulse hit it when flying. |

Kind regards

Hi, As I mention, out of respect. We do not need to model MCAS, that is the great advantage about coding something for entertainment simulators, we model our MAX behavior and characteristics to handle the same as the NG, that is/was the purpose of MCAS. |

Really exciting for the Max!
One question though, does the fly-by-wire spoilers bening modeled? A real life 73 pilot told me the main difference between Max and NG in handle characteristics are 1) slower rolling rate (response) due to the fly-by-wire spoilers, 2) lower engine thrust set due to the new engine. Are those 2 things being modeled correctly? Thank you!

Hi,
All I can say is that the MAXy handles a little bit different than our NG's. Let me quote the words from 1 of the beta team members "What a different airplane; feels more solid and stiff. Wow." So, you will have to fly her to experience the difference. ![]() |

Which version of max can we expect? MAX-7/8/-200/-9/-10?

Hi,
The iFly 737 MAX-8 will release first as Base Model for P3D v5, then for MSFS. We then plan to do the -200 for P3D v5 and then MSFS We would like to do the rest of the models, -9 and then later followed by -7 & -10. And the latter 2 has not yet been released to market, so it will be some time before we can even start working on those. And without manuals we cannot build it. These are plans ONLY! |

Is there a big difference between -8 MAX and -8 MAX 200? Different capacity and weight, right? Or something else?

The -8200 has 2 extra Emergency exits, and more seats.
They are mostly used by budget airlines. But the rest is same as -8.

I don’t know about you guys, but I wouldn’t mind a teaser…..or let’s be crazy and bold, we wouldn’t mind a release date announcement 🤪
On a realistic note, Jannie, would it be possible to see a video of the MAX flight deck please? That would be awesome. Cheers, Bob

Hi Bob,
We still have some work to be completed before she will be ready for video. I have shown most of the aircraft that I can so far. The development team is being kept very busy by the beta testers and our technical advisory pilots. So everyone has their heads down and working. Here are some screens I grabbed during a recent test flight. Best I can do for now. |

A few years ago I had the opportunity to review the 747, and I was highly impressed. With the new 737 MAX, I am sure the development team do an outstanding job. Looking forward to this one!

How is the FPS in testing so far? I'm praying I can get some better frames out of the Ifly Max than I currently get in the NGXu.
