Those are nice reg guys. It's nice to see who uses what system with which components etc.
I am looking for a new system, what do you guys think of these 3?  Please let me know which one you would take, and why.
Thanks alot in advance

build your computer.  dont buy one pre-built unless you have done VERY detailed research on it.

Yes Brian, problem is I don't have time and the knowledge to build myself one. I prefer to buy a complete system which forfills my needs.

they are all about equal....  i could be wrong though cuz i dont know much about the
ATI HD 4000 series or NVIDIA's.... only the 4000 to 5000 (not HD).  I do like the processor in the 2nd and 3rd one.  but its exactly what i mean by when i say dont buy a pre-built one.  it would be great if parts from all 3 were put together.

The 1st one.

the i7 processor architecture is much stronger and faster then the AMD, it is also very overclockable with the "turboboost" function. (from 2.66ghz to 3.4-3.6ghz)
Also from past experience the Nvidia graphix cards work better with volumetric clouds then what ATi can in flightsimulator.

If they could swop the GTX275 for a GTX460 then you will be in the poundseat, the GTX275 is excellent, but the new GTX460 just have so much more punch and I think is cheaper, but stand corrected.
Regards

There are differences between the i7's but I am not to sure exactly what.

If your thinking of buying a GTX460 make sure its works with Flight Sim ok if you can.
There may be a driver issue at the moment.

I have a GTX260, installed the latest 258.96 drivers a couple of weeks back & on switching a/c, default to lds767 or back the other way in FS9, it kicks me out back to the desktop.
Reinstalled my original drivers & all ok again.

I then went looking on nVidea's site & noticed that someone else with a new GTX460 couldn't run FSX.

Yes, i'm quite happy with it, i run FS9 settings maxed with REX, UT and numerous addons and everything runs smooth Smile Runs also the FSX quite nicely, though i had to lower some graphics settings with 100% AI..
